I have a massage business and several locations and several employees that can look on the public calendar to see where they need to be at certain time and days. If one of the employees are dismissed, how can I restrict him/her from the calendar or do I have to change the public calendar name. If I do that ....how quick does this occur? |

You can password-protect the calendar: http://www.localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Password-protecting+your+localendar You can also immediately change the public calendar name (which is your logon name) under Options->Security http://www.localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Changing+your+Member+Logon+Name ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Thank you so much! I do have another question. If I set them up with their own localendar can I use my own email address to set them up? Or does it al have to be their email address, etc. Rhonda |

You can set them up with your email, but any info directed to the calendar owner (lost password requests, etc) would go to you and not them. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

It looks to me that if the employee checks the remember me option when signing on to the public calendar that has been password protected, the public calendar will still come up even though the employee has been removed from the authorized viewers. Only when the employee signs out then tries to sign back in will the employee be blocked. If this is so, this is a problem with blocking former employees who may never sign out and, therefore, continue to have access to the public calendar. Am I overlooking something? |

A calendar with security enabled should not honor the "remember me" cookie. I will check with our dev team. Update: When an employee has been removed from your share list, they will not be allowed to access your calendar, even if they have checked the "remember me" option. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by support at Oct 16, 2013, 12:03:12 AM] |

Thanks, I'll verify that tomorrow using two different computers. I do know that your other method of preventing access by changing the log on id does work. But, that isn't too practical for companies with a lot of employees that have the usual turnover. |
