It would be really nice if you could choose the word color on the legend, or if it matched the color you choose for the event colors. It is really difficult to find background colors that work with both the colors that you choose for the event on the calendar and what shows up in the legend for the word color. Thanks!

This confuses me a little.
If you select a custom color for a event category and don't pick a custom color for the individual event, then the events in that category will have the category color automatically.

So-- you can have the category colors exactly match the event colors. Are you trying to match these manually yourself?

Yes, the event has the box color of the event category. The problem I am having is the color of the text. I don't see anywhere that I can choose the color of the text for the event categories in the legend. On the legend, the text is a light color, but in my calendar it is a dark color. I would like to pick bold colors for the event categories, but leave my actual calendar a light color.

Please check out my calendar at www.modocevents.org. The text in the legend is a light gray/blue, and the text in the calendar is dark. Also, if I change the event text color to a light color, it also changes the weather feed and I can no longer read it. I guess I could just turn off the weather feed, but I really like that option.

Does that make sense? Sorry it is a little convoluted...

I don't see that you are using a category legend on your site.
Are you asking to change the color of the text in the event itself?

For example, do you want to change the text color in the box that says "7:30-am-10:30-am Walk for Doc 5k Marathon" ?

If that's the case, that's not the category legend, that's just the event text color. You can select a new default under Options->Colors.

(select the small Events tab on that page)

You could also just wrap the title in a font or span tag, but that's a little more work.

There is a category legend on the site. It has the names of the towns where events are taking place in our county. How do I change the color of the text in the legend?

I know how to change the color of the text in the box that is on the calendar. However, it would be nice if this was independent of the weather feed. I cannot use a light color, because the weather feed disappears on the light calendar. (I do not want a dark calendar.)

Thanks! Di

You would have to target the legend with some custom CSS.
You can either put this in your site or directly in your calendar (say, in the Title field under Options). It depends on how you are including the calendar.

For example, try this in your Title
<style>#category_legend_div{color:red;}</style>

Thank you so much for your help! I have taught myself a minimal amount of web design, and I don't always know how to figure these things out. biggrin
