Hi,

we're testing out the service. I'm trying to embed the discussion page into a web page via the iframe tag. It seems to work just fine for firefox and safari but internet explorer seems to break. It looks like the problem is related to not loading the proper style sheet because it is blank when the wrong page is displayed. You can see the problem at http://www.whitetailestates.net/discussion.html. The suspect html is:

<IFRAME src="http://www.localendar.com/forums/whitetailestates" height=600 width=750 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 scrolling=yes frameborder=0 border=0></IFRAME>

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Larry Whelan

We are having the same problem,
it either likes to be loaded from a link in a new window,
or a workaround as larry has done.

is there a fix for this from the support forum, as Larry's post was dated 2/22/06?

I'd like to get this resolved in the test/kick the tires phase, if fixed, I;ll subscribe

Unfortunately, it seems Larry's post slipped through the cracks. There is a problem here; but it doesn't seem related to any particular calendar causing it.. It seems a browser cookie or request variable is likely at fault. For example, If I follow Larry's link, I get the support forum, instead of the "Bible forum". I'll pass this along to the dev team.

Interestingly enough, when previewed through Frontpage the page looks fine but if you go through to the site online through IE it does crap out.

We get the same thing (see our problem in the disscusion thread below this one). Some type of Bible Reading....

At least I know now that we are not the only ones experiencing the same problem..

I think we're getting somewhere with this...

The problem seems to be a "cookie collision" caused when you switch between different forums hosted by localendar.

I'll wager this is exactly what you're doing: Checking your forums - maybe having an issue - then coming back to the support forums - and getting this row not found problem.

I'm guessing that each forum is using the same cookie id, and when you switch back and forth, things are getting messed up. Perhaps if the cookie is null, it defaults to some id that is used by that bible forum...

Interestingly, when I hit refresh, it seems to correct itself. The error page might be re-writing the cookie with the correct id.

Nope, I think you are wrong on the cookie issue.

When I turn on the computer/laptop (or exit from IE), and I go to our website with the embedded calendar and discussion board link, it will take me to the incorrect 'Bible Reading' forum. No mix up of cookies, no switching between forums, so no 'cookie collision' could be responsible for the incorrect display of forums. May or may not explain the problem for this particular discussion board, since I have not tried that and am more concerned with our ongoing problem here....

But do you have "remember my ID and password" checked for localendar.com ? Your old cookie would still be out there.
