I have signed and paid for webmaster premium and now longer have ads, (really a good thing), I can place a add event key, (and it works provided you click the key that only allows the webmaster to approve) Instant post does not send message to webmaster even if the send to webmaster option is selected. The print key works. The Discussion board feature does not work! When I try to log into discussion using my username and password that I use to update the calendar it says the name is not known. I signed up for a new calendar in order to get to this board. This is the only thing I have been able to do in the discussion area. When I tried to create new topics etc. using the new sign up, after much experimenting, I got a topic and sub topic created, BUT when I logged off and back on, nothing was their. I'M NOT HAPPY!!!! crying There seems to be no way to communicate other than this. I love the calendar, but was hopeing to be able to have a discussion board as advertized. Please help. Give me a way to communicate other than this. OH, I did send a note using contact us. no response

stcatherines,

Can you please look at my response in the other thread where you posted? I tried to clarify the roles of your different id's/passwords.

I am able to see your forum (Mission Trips) under

http://www.localendar.com/forums/stcatherines

as well as post messages there. What did you create that is "not there" anymore?

Please see my reply on the other thread. I would like to use my existing paid account, stcatherine NOT stcatherines which is a "new" free acount I created just to try and see if that one allows a discussion forum. Wish there was a way to communicate other than this board for problems.

Marc, I created a forum at stcatherines that maybe better discribes what is happining, (or not happining) with may paid stcatherine account regarding discussion forum that does not allow me, the account owner the ability to log in using my account name. I can however log into the calendar which I really like.. This is one of the best calendar services I have ever seen. I would also like to try the forum feature, at least to see how we might use it. Again, the calendar is really nice, I update it almost daily, there is so much going on at our church. The cost of webmaster premium is well worth it. Should have paid sooner but didn't want to sign up for paypal, used my wifes this time.

Got it.
Turns out your account is sooooo old (Hey! Localendar member #473!) that your account in the forums system (which didn't exist when you joined almost 7 years ago) was never set up.

I think this should be corrected now. Give it a try.

smile Marc, Thank you sooo much! It looks like it is working. I'll be testing how to utilize this feature. The way I read the usage, each person or group that wants to use the forum needs to sign up for their own free localendar. That will enable them to use the forums even when their "premium" trial period is up. Will they then have google ads when using the board, or will the board be ad free as long as I continue to subscribe?
Thanks again for your help.

Yes; they need to sign in to localendar so that we can associate a unique id/password with them for security and tying their posts back to them.

Once their free trial expires, they will not see ads on your calendar/forum since you have a paid subscription on what you publish.
