I cannot download the Wyncs plugin to my browser (IE 7). I am running Windows Vista. The download seems to install after I bypass the file download warning but it errors out. I do not get an error message so I do not know what the problem is. |

I was able to solve the problem by running IE "...as an administrator." Somehow this does not seem to happen automatically even when one is logged onto Windows as an administrator to start. So...problem solved - so far. |

Thanks for the information. Vista has some crazy behaviour regarding security around individual apps. The sync plugin we use is provided by a third-party. I'll pass along your vista experience and see if there are any fixes in the works. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Hey it is now August '07. Do we have a fix? What do I do with a new machine with Vista? I want to export the calendar, so I can print it in Windows Mail. |

I do not have an updates information from the vendor, but CampbellUMC's workaround still seems to solve this problem for members running Vista. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I tried that. It did not work. Am I missing something? I am the Administrator, so when I use IE I am in the administrator mode. Or do I need to do something else? Help Ed |

From the previous post...
it appears you need to explicitly tell IE to run as "administrator" ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

The localendar technician, Mark Higgins, sent me to you via link saying you had the solution to syncing your localendar with Windows Vista. Will you please advise what that solution may be? Thanks. |

With Wyncs and Vista, it appears you have to run the app as an Administrator on your local box.
