We want to extend our apologies for the difficulties many of you had accessing localendar yesterday. The problem occurred because of problems at the facility that hosts our co-located server equipment. Many other organizations were also affected, and this has motivated us to actively look for a new facility. We've had several issues with this firm in the past, but yesterday's debacle was completely unacceptable. I don't want to divulge the name of the company until all our machines are off-site (but I'll be happy to blast them afterwards) We understand that, as feature which can be embedded in your site, you depend on our service . And we take that responsibility very seriously. Again, please accept our apologies and understand that we are working to address the cause of this issue. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Thanks for that. As a promoter of the great live music scene in the Ottawa, Canada area and a 15 year provider of free arts support involving the amazing Ottawa artist community, I have both artists and fans depending on the many gigs listed on my calendars involving live blues, jazz, swing and other music. A reliable service is very important to me and to the people I work to support, both artists and fans. Thanks again for your determination to get this occasional glitch in a very worthwhile and well designed service fine tuned in staying on line. |

Are you in Kentucky? How close does the satelite equipment need to be to you? I know a great organization that will house and maintain your equipment there, great folks. Let me know if I can help.1-877-877-5852 |

Can you post a url? We'll have a look at their facilities. There are a lot of people who will run a datacenter; finding a well-regarded business is another matter completely I appreciate the recommendation. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Events added to my calendar are not appearing in the public version. This function has been working well for about a year and all of a sudden today it stopped working. Are you guys have any server issues that may be causing this? I've got your calendar linked to my website and my users are going nuts! Thanks for any help. Jim |

I see that you've added a bunch of events and not marked them as Public. They're Private (the blue color is a quick tip-off). You can change your default so that new events are Public under Options. For now, you'll need to flip those existing events to Public under the Event Editor. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
