When trying to add a new event or update an existing event - the formatting icons / tools (font, font size, bold, underline, etc....) are all missing from the screen.

Existing events show descriptions of the events, but in HTML code, not plain english like usual.

Any idea what might be happening, when it will be fixed, or any way to work around ????

It sounds like the page isn't completely loading on your browser. Do you see any error messages? If you're using IE, there might be a small icon in the lower-left of your browser's status bar you could click for details (please paste the message here)

Same thing is happening on our calendar. No error messages in the browser window (using IE). Will send a Word document with a screenshot to the localendar support e-mail address.

I wanted to add that the same thing happens when we use a Firefox browser.

I thought those buttons disappeared with the recent upgrade. They have not shown up for me since the upgrade around the 8th.

If they are really supposed to still show up then I have the same issue.

Oh yes; we haven't taken them away. The editor was upgraded to a version compatible with IE 8 and the latest versions of Chrome and Safari. But it should still work in IE6 and 7.

educationminnesota is sending us some info via an email ticket that will hopefully yield more clues. We may post a test page and ask you to hit it as well.

Please try clearing your browser's cache to see if there is any effect.

One other favor (not everyone having this problem has to do this; just one or two of you would help)

Please visit http://www.cyscape.com/showbrow.aspx and paste the results into a response here. That will give us an idea if there's anything browser-specific at work.

here is the information when I use firefox. I don't get the icons there either. And yes I dump my cache every night.

Hmm.. The mystery continues. Nothing wrong in the data you posted. If you visit this page:

Does an editor with toolbar buttons (a disgustingly high number of them actually ;-)) eventually display?

I can't help but think this is somehow connected to your repeating events issue also... but I'll post my thoughts over on that thread.
