I would like to know if you add an event on the calendar and you already have the calendar on your site does the new event automatically go on the calendar thats on my site

Yes once you add the event and save it, it is on your calendar. I use to publish everytime I added an event and finally figured out it doesn't have to be published it just has to be saved.
