When I add a street address of an event location in the edit event window the resulting map that Google creates is miles off the target. Entering the address directly into Google maps works correctly. Why the disparity? I noted this issue some months ago and then it was seemingly resolved, now it is back. Can this be resolved? Unfortunately, not that I am aware of. I've had this problem myself, did some research, and confirmed that the API Google exposes for producing maps is sometimes less accurate than what they provide at http://maps.google.com I'm not sure why there is a disconnect between the two services, but it's unfortunately something that only Google can rectify. I know a lot of other sites have posted to them about this issue. Sometimes I am able to tweak the location to get what I want. In extreme cases, I leave the location field blank on the Event Editor, and just paste a url directly from a Google map into the Event Description. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
