I just subscribed to LoCalendar on 1/12/11. I see that I am allowed premium services for 30 days. So how come I cannot upload any of my own images? If I am going to pay for premium services in a month, I want to know that the feature in fact works as advertised. Please advise. Thank you. Ron Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association |

Your own website states that you provide premium services free during the 30-day evaluation period. So why am I prompted to sign up for premium services when I attempt to upload an image? My free evaluation does not end until February 12, 2011. Is this a bug or just a scam to get our money? |

It's not a "scam". We provide a trial of all the services on the Premium menu tab. You are also free to use all of our free clipart to test the various image features. We currently do not allow members to upload images on the free trial since this would give people a 30-day window to upload all of their images to use after the trial period expires. We have considered allowing the uploads and then blocking these images post-trial, but our feeling is that if we did this, that could take a nice calendar a member had put on their web site, and suddenly make it display very badly. That was the rationale behind our decision on this issue. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Well it's a bad decision on your part Marc. Your clipart library is severely limited, and I cannot test how your process works without actually testing it out myself. You clearly advertise all the premium features are available for 30 days, and then conveniently curtail some of them. That in my book is a scam. |

I'm sorry you're not satisfied with the answer, but I explained the reason for the limitation. You can use all of our existing clip-art to test how and where you are able to include your own custom images . You can also use HTML to link to images hosted on another server. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I too had this problem and what with the Search facility not working on this forum for a while, I've just wasted an hour trying to upload my own images during a 30 day trial. I appreciate WHY I can't. I just wish I had been able to find that out without wasting an hour. Can you not make that clearer on the relevant pages? |

Understood. I've added a note to the very top of the page in our docs for "Uploading your own images" that states this feature is not enabled during the free trial period. Hopefully that will prevent future frustration. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
