Edit this Post   Reminder notices showing wrong date - dates are one day off Reply to this Post

Just noticed, but beginning between Dec 3 2010 and Dec 7 2010, the event reminder notices that we get are now coming through with the wrong date. Ex.. an event may be listed for December 7 on the calendar, but the reminder comes through with December 6. All reminders, beginning with Dec 7 2010 started coming through with a date listed one day early.

Please advise on how to fix if possible.

Thank you,
Donna

I assume they are coming through *at* the correct time, but not *with* the correct time? Sounds time-zone related. We'll have a look.

Hi Marc, any success?

All notices are still coming in with incorrect date. (one date early). Ex. On calendar, event appears on correct day, say, April 5, but notice comes out saying event is on April 4).

It might be a time zone issue, but nothing we changed knowingly? We are on Eastern time - New York, etc.

Thanks,
Donna

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. This is the top item on our dev's to-do list, but we have been preoccupied with another issue related to bad requests and attempts to spam the site. Once we have that issue stabilized, we'll be turning our attention back to this problem.

I just did a sample EST event test for 5:45, April 30, and the event reminder came through w/ the correct time and date.

Can you tell me the date/title of one of the events on your calendar that didn't come through correctly, and I will take a look to see if there is something specific to your calendar.

Is the problem just with All Day events, or events with specific start times?

Hi Marc,

Here is an example. The event below is on our calendar (and has been for years) on April 30. The reminder (below) is what I, and others, received via email. Notice the date is one day early, April 29. All of the events on my calendar are all-day events.. they do not stop and start at a specified time.

This is happening with every event on my calendar.

I am in Maryland, Eastern Time.

Thanks for your continued support on this!
Donna

Got it, thanks. That helps narrow things down as I think events that are not All Day are working correctly.

Hi there.. wondering if you've had any success? Still spitting out reminders w/ wrong dates. We have not changed our appts from specific time to all day - they have always been ALL DAY events.

Thanks for your assistance!!

Hmm.. I responded to a support ticket you had open. We deployed a fix that should have corrected this issue (maybe after your last reminder?)

If you still get reminders a day early, can you please give me the title/date of one of these events?
