I have a calendar on WP site in list view. The event titles are in black, but they have a shadow behind them in white. I can't figure out how to get rid of the white. It is making the words look blurry. Any advice?

It looks like you have some CSS outside localendar that is being fairly generically applied:

text-shadow: 1px 1px 0px rgb(255, 255, 255);

If you're not using that elsewhere on the site, I would just remove it from my WP theme.
