jamiecd77 is right in pointing out that 'startdate" is the answer to alamoangels' issue.

Regarding this original question:

Is there any way to link a listing of events located elsewhere on my web to the actual day on the calendar?

can you provide more detail? You want to have a link on some text elsewhere on your site jump to a specific day on your calendar? I'm not sure what you mean by a "listing of events" (or where they are stored)
