Help with Restricted Calendar Access viewing
I have used localendar for sometime with a premium account, which I had linked to a website to front end the security log in, but that website is being discontinued so I would like to have a stand alone calendar with access that is limited to specific localendar accounts that I create. Either I do not understand how this is supposed to work or I have something setup incorrectly.

I have created 2 test accounts in localendar.com. I then added both accounts to the calendar access under the security tab which gave them both view only access (which is what I want). I then changed the calendar to restrict access to the added members and saved that change. From here I am lost and have a couple questions I hope I can get answered.

#1. Do I need to make the calendar events that I create public or private for only these added accounts to view.

#2. What link do I distribute to the people I want to be able to access the calendar or do the people log into localendar with their own account and certain events are linked to their calendar?? Or what determines how they can view only events?

I would appreciate whatever guidance you could provide.

The link you'll want to distribute remains the "public" link to your calendar:
https://localendar.com/public/osuevents

Right now under the Sharing tab (Premium menu) you have this option selected:
Allow anyone to view my public events and discussion topics
but as soon as you change it to:
Restrict calendar viewing to specific members (listed below)

Whenever anyone visits the link above, they will have to sign in. The only accounts that will be granted access are yours (calendar owner) and the 2 accounts you added.

You still want to make events you want your 2 accounts to see public. Private events are only ever displayed to the calendar owner (or a delegated administrator, but that's not what you're doing here)

As a followup. I have set this up and will be distributing the public link in awhile, but I want to make sure that when I switch to named sharing accounts only and implement it, that if I remove that account from sharing that they will no longer be able to access the calendar.

Or does the user need to remove a cookie prior to that happening? I seem to recall we tested accounts who had been removed from sharing and they still had access to the calendar. We had to clear the cache to clear the cookie that finally shut things down, unless we didn't wait long enough for the system to release that account from access??

What triggers a device from being denied access to a calendar after it has been used many times to access it successfully after the account is removed from access?

If you have restricted access to a calendar, the user should be prompted for sign on every time they initially visit.

It is possible that they will have a valid access cookie if you remove them while they are still signed in (or have their browser open), but the next time they restart their browser they should no longer have access. (They'll be prompted to authenticate again, but their id will no longer work since you deprovisioned them)
