Problem with 'Edit Repeating Event' I am having a problem when I have a repeating event, and I try to edit it. I don't remember having the problem in the past, but it has been so long since I tried to edit one I may have forgotten. I have a Premium Services subscription, which does not expire until 2/2024. I normally run Localendar on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit computer. I tried it on a Windows 10 Pro computer, and the same problem exists. For example, let's assume I set up a repeating event to occur from 1 PM to 3 PM, starting March 1 and ending March 12. I have no problem doing that. But after setting it up, something happens so the events on March 4, 5 & 6 have to be cancelled. I open the 'Edit Repeating Event' screen and select 'Edit this Series'. Then I enter the dates of March 4 through 6, and select 'Delete'. But instead of deleting just these three dates, Localendar deletes the complete March 1 through March 12 series! If instead I selected March 4, and then 'Edit this Occurrence', then I can successfully delete the March 4 event. Then I have to repeat this for March 5, and then March 6. How do I remove the March 4, 5 & 6 events all at the same time, rather than having to remove each individually? Harry |

Re: Problem with 'Edit Repeating Event' Hmmm.. From the workflow you describe, it sounds like a roundabout way of trying to skip certain occurrences :) I would recommend setting the event to repeat exactly how you did, but instead of trying to delete occurrences that fall on a specific date, I would open the (main) event in the Event Editor, and use the "Skip occurrences that fall on specific dates" button to exclude the dates you don't want included. The feature is also mentioned near the bottom of this page in our docs: http://localendar.com:8080/docs/display/lc/Repeating+Events ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
