A quick update:

Since the recent move to the new datacenter, we have noticed a remarkable degredation in database performance. This will most likely manifest itself in "Oops" messages, 404 Errors, and non-received reminders. Almost all of localendar's functionality is in some way dependent on our databases, and when a request times-out, there are problems.

We have working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and apologize for any inconveniences during this time.

We believe we have located the problem with the recent site sluggishness. It appears that one of our database servers may have suffered some damage in transit *or* been on the verge of having a problem before it was moved.

We've removed it from it cluster and will be watching the environment closely.

Unfortunately, there were some negative consequences. Certain events held on this server and not yet replicated to its "siblings" were unfortunately lost. If you entered events between 3AM Sat, 4/16 and 10:30PM on the same day, you may experience partial or complete loss of that event data. We apologize for this inconvenience; but we had to remove this server without the necessary time to recover this information for fear it might spread incorrect transaction data to its neighbors. That might have caused a cascade of problems that would have been much worse.

Again, our apologies; and hopefully the performance issues will drop off.

In response to the above post, it seems that machine was a red herring. There are still performance issues and we're in contact w/ our bandwidth provider to address them as quickly as possible. Watch this space for updates.

I think we're getting closer. Further information to follow; but it seems we are back near our regular performance levels. If you're still experiencing significant delays, please let us know.

Yes; the site is slow again today. But the difference is that it's an act of our own [unfortunate] choosing.

Yesterday, performance levels were back to almost normal when we eliminated a certain machine that we believe may have been re-installed incorectly by our host after the move.

Today, as further proof of our suspicions, we re-enabled that machine so that our host could attempt to diagnose the problem.

Regardless of their progress (or lack thereof), we will be returning to yesterday's configuration this evening so that our members can actually get some work done! Our host will have to resolve the problem independently (and realize that lack of success = lack of future business)

We have had an issue with the calendar for a couple of days now. It is not sluggishness. It is a total lack of access. The only thing we ever see is "opps." Is this being worked on this weekend?

I need to know if this is going to get resolved. My customers depend on this calendar and so do I.

I use localendar for 5 different websites.

Actually, my last post in this thread is from Apr 21.

And since you posted under the sample id, I have no way of knowing what calendars you are using. Can you provide the member logons?
