A legacy letter provides an individual an opportunity to share important memories and life lessons for their surviving loved ones. This 3-session workshop will provide participants a structure through which they can generate a meaningful and lasting set of reflections for those most close to them. A legacy letter provides an individual an opportunity to share important memories and life lessons for their surviving loved ones. This 3-session workshop will provide participants a structure through which they can generate a meaningful and lasting set of reflections for those most close to them. Class sessions will include mini-lectures, individual writing, and group discussions.

Chair/Adaptive Yoga led by Tsipora

Led by professional yoga instructor, Tsipora Berman. A joyful journey of meditation in motion and stillness infused with experiences to expand intuition and inspiration by integrating Medical Yoga, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology. Everything can be done standing , sitting, or lying down, with a chair, walls, and floor. Wheelchair users will be shown adaptations for using their own wheelchair. 

We will be in meeting room#1 until we have too many attendees to fit in the space, we will move the class to the great room.

Donations accepted for the instructor for providing this class for FREE for our members. Non-members of any age are welcome to attend this class, Non-members pay a $5 'building use fee'

Cribbage: bring your board and cards

Come play cribbage with others. Bring your board and cards if you have them. Rules of play will be determined by the group. This is an informal group who just gets together to play cribbage for two hours each week. FREE for members. A $5 'building use fee' is a suggested donation for non-members.

Expanding Joy: Yoga Dance

Led by professional yoga movement instructor, Tsipora

'Expanding Joy' dance is an easy movement practice that moves energy in the body allowing for healing and opening the consciousness to new thoughts, creativity, and freedom. Freedom for your spirit to move in your own unique way on the dance floor and in the world. So joyful and fun, touching and open-hearted you’ll feel as though each class is a mini retreat. All bodies! All Levels of moving!    Dancing increases cognitive acuity at all ages. Dancing integrates several brain functions at once — kinesthetic, rational, musical, and emotional — further increasing your neural connectivity. 

Class is FREE for members and $5 building use fee for non-members. Additional donations will be given to the instructor for providing this class for our members.

Professional instructor Karen Gehrt leads this low impact exercise and stregnth training class at Immanuel Lutheran Church gym, 303 Church Street, Silverton. This is a great workout using bands, hand weights, and balls. Bring a mat.

Yoga for the Second Half of Life with Emmie - suggested donation

Yoga for the Second Half of Life with Emmie 11am-12:15pm in the great room. Bring your own mat. Suggested donation is $10 for members $15 for non-members.

Yoga for the Second Half of Life is a class designed to soothe and strengthen the body and mind. A flowing, meditative style of practice is emphasized to encourage tension to unwind without force. Joint mobility, bone density, strength and flexibility will all be benefited, and class will culminate in deep relaxation. Free for members. $5 suggested donation for non-members.

Instructor bio: Emmie Roe Stamell, RYT, C.Ay. has been a student of the healing arts for twenty years and facilitating Yoga and meditation classes in a variety of settings since 2004. Emmie has accumulated thousands of hours of training in Yoga, bodywork, and meditation. It’s her great honor to support students and clients in attaining mental and physical wellbeing through Yoga and personalized holistic health counseling.
